Yes, for adults. Rhode Island legalized recreational cannabis for adults 21 and older on May 25, 2022, when the Rhode Island Cannabis Act became law. Adults can buy from licensed retailers and possess limited amounts. Legalization did not erase every marijuana offense, though, so possession outside the legal limits or by anyone under 21 can still bring charges.
